Stéphane Amaru began his career in 1983 in the family business. In 1988, alongside Toni and Anthony Mascolo, Stéphane opened Toni & Guy in Paris, the first branch of the salon in France.

In 2000 he opened his Paris Academy, now educating over 6,000 hairdressers a year. He was twice voted best International Artistic Director of the Year, in 2003 and 2005, and Best Entrepreneur of the Year 2006 at the Global Business Awards. Since 2007, Stéphane has devoted himself exclusively to education, and sharing his 'recette' that has made him such a success as an entrepreneur and artistic director. In 2008, because of his broad range of experience, he became a coach for Schwarzkopf France; in this role he is involved in all areas related to hair management, from marketing through to education.
